Jane Phu has always been intrigued with beauty and grew up experimenting with makeup and hairstyles on family members and friends. When she moved into the college dorms at Cal State University, Long Beach, Jane became the quintessential stylist and her room was the beauty parlor.
The excitement she felt while primping and perfecting her diverse group of friends motivated Jane to pursue cosmetology after college. So she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2006, then immediately began planning to pursue her passion in the beauty industry. With continued practice on friends, small beauty gigs, and extensive hours of training at Bellflower Adult School of Cosmetology, Jane earned her license in 2008
and is now her own beauty entity.
Jane cuts, colors and styles hair at a Huntington Beach salon, and does freelance makeup artistry for fashion shows, headshots, photo sessions and special occasions. However, she gets her greatest reward when booking wedding jobs.
“Helping women look beautiful on their biggest day is one of the most satisfying feelings in the world. I get to spend time with women when they feel their best, as I make them look their best,” Jane said.
In addition to Jane’s wedding day skills, she is part of a dynamic-duo with her companion, photographer Archi Prudencio. With their skills and two cameras, they expose their client’s beauty on-and-off screen, and have a lovely creative connection that is a great advantage to wedding clients.
Jane Phu loves to consult, understand client’s style and goals, and really believes in the art of enhancing one’s features, as she sees beauty in everyone’s face. Jane also believes that every woman deserves to look and feel their best, and loves to be the person to make that happen.
